The previous post was a little bit negative, but this one is way more positive!
One of the guys whom I met at the Shovelnose Cruise in September 2015 bought the little Corona from the people in the previous post. He has a number of other Coronas, so I know it's finally in a good home.
He takes it out to a number of car meets and shows, so I still get to see it out and about.
Yesterday a friend from the Shovelnose Corona Restorers and Modifiers club sent me a screencap from Gumtree.
I'm a little surprised. I know it's just a car and once I sell it, it's no longer any of my business, however the new owners have only kept it for 3 months are are now selling the Corona for $8000! (They paid $4500 three months ago). I'm not aware of their circumstances, so if it's due to bad things occurring in their life, well that sucks and I'm sorry to hear it, but if it was to make a quick buck... sigh. The ad even re-uses the photos I took for my original advert.
Anyway if you're after a Corona grab it, as I can assure you mechanically it is pretty much brand new, interior is all original (except the carpet) and the body is the second best I've ever seen (after the 100% perfect one CMI Toyota own).
Edit: They've dropped the price to $7K now...
